Terms of Use

Who these apply to

These terms govern your use of this website and of the business applications published by Famulus Technologies, including the Famulus mobile app.

The applications are licensed to an organisation, not sold to individuals. If you are using one, you are doing so as a member of staff of a client organisation, under an account created for you by that organisation's administrator. Your organisation's own agreement with us governs the service itself; these terms govern your use of it.

Your account

• Accounts are issued by your administrator. You may not create one, share one, or let anybody else use yours.
• Keep your sign-in details and your app lock to yourself. Approvals and prices recorded under your account are attributed to you.
• Tell your administrator at once if a device is lost or you believe your account has been used by somebody else. They can revoke a device immediately.
• Your administrator may disable or archive your account at any time, typically when you change role or leave.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the software other than for your organisation's business.
• Extract, copy or disclose your organisation's data, or a customer's data, other than as your role permits.
• Attempt to defeat the access controls, reach records your role does not open, or probe the service for weaknesses without our written consent.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the software.
• Upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to place in your organisation's records.

The data in the application

The business records held in the software - customers, enquiries, costings, quotations, orders and the documents attached to them - belong to the client organisation, not to us and not to the individual user. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and secure, and we improve it continually. Features may change, and the mobile app may update itself over the air so that every installation is running the same version. We may schedule maintenance, and we will give notice of anything that interrupts normal use where we reasonably can.

Our intellectual property

The software, its interface and its documentation remain the property of Famulus Technologies. Your organisation's licence grants the right to use it; it transfers no ownership.

Liability

The service is provided under the agreement between us and your organisation, and that agreement is what sets out the warranties and the limits of our responsibility. If something goes wrong, your organisation is the party to raise it with us.

Ending your use

Your access ends when your organisation's administrator ends it, or when their licence ends. The records you created remain with your organisation, and continue to carry your name as their author.
